Approved with : AHS, VhW, ISR/Old NA, CWHBA, and upon request, CSH

Multi-Champion in German Open Competitions scoring 9's on rideability and gaits.

Following his 100-Day Test in Germany, Wolkenglanz was stationed at Stallion Station Jens Meyer, where his dressage training started. He was Champion or Reserve Champion at many open competitions scoring 9’s on rideability and gaits in 1999 and 2000. After two successful showing and breeding seasons, he was imported into the USA where he went straight into the breeding shed. His training later resumed with Canadian Dressage Team member Tom Dvorak until an unfortunate injury ended his performance career. Although, his success as a performance horse was halted, his success continued in the breeding shed.

True to his bloodlines, this tall elegant stallion continues to produce offspring that are highly rideable and trainable, have exceptional movement and conformation, and have dispositions that are just plain easy and fun to be around. They truly are suitable for any level of rider and are proving to excel not only in hand at breed shows but also under saddle in the show ring.

“Wolkenglanz himself reflects Bolero. He impresses by his nobleness and his extraordinary movements with a comfortable sitting. He is easy to ride and to handle.”
……..from his stallion ad in Germany

Wolkenglanz consistently adds height, improves on shoulder and topline and adds suspension to movement( especially the canter) with a real 'push' from the hind end. Temperaments are amazing....loads of presence but so very, very sane and easy! If it weren't bad business, I would offer a money back gurantee as that is just how consistent this stallion is!! *grin*

On his semen:

"Wolkenglanz's semen is phenomenal!! Perhaps the best I have ever seen and I have seen alot both fresh and frozen. Not only in motility but also in longevity..."

WORLD CUP I - PATERNAL GREAT GRANDSIRE OF WOLKENGLANZ

Feiner Kerl and Flavius, both sons of Fling founded separate branches of the F-line. Two prominent members of the Flavius branch, which since 1989 has been designated the W-line, are Woermann and his son World Cup I. World Cup I is known for powerful movers and jumpers. He was the sire of Walt Disney who won his perfomance test in 1989 but his most famous offspring is the phenominal Weltmenyer whose quality as a sire is reinforced with each new generation.

BOLERO-MATERNAL GRANDSIRE OF WOLKENGLANZ

Wolkenglanz's dam, Bianca, was sired by the famous Bolero (Black Sky xx/Baronesse/Bleep xx). Bolero is a classic example of the refining influence the Throroughbred has had on the modern Hanoverian. Although three-quarter Thoroughbred himself, he retained the quality and movement of his Hanoverian ancestors. Bolero stood at stud for only nine years yet has to his credit 51 approved stallions, 73 States Premium mares and numerous top dressage horses.

Bolero has been called a guarantee for...”Easy to ride horses of elegant type and with a special aptitude for dressage.” (A. Hengst Deutschlands) His line consistantly produces horses with good shoulders and withers, modern toplines and elastic action. Although Bolero died early, he ranked third (1990) in national dressage ranking of his age group.

THE B-LINE

Bolero by Black Sky xx was the founding sire of a new B-Line in the 1990's. He was a three-quarter Thoroughbred stallion whose breeding career was short lived at his early death of twelve years of age. He had a profound impact in the Hannoverian breeding area in the 1980's.

His success as a sire of sires is reknown and his sons have been exported to numerous countries around the world. His offspring out of Grande, Argus and Duellant mares in particular were consistantly horses with good shoulders and withers, modern toplines and elastic action. His daughters consistently won at major shows and were awarded States Premium.

His offspring were known as the "Bolero Boom". From his first group of five sons to attend the Verden licensing, four were selected and his sons continued to excel throughout the 1980's. In 1986, the German Riding Horse National Championship was won by Boruschkin, later sold at the Verden auction for 110,000 DM. This success contiuned with further record auction prices. In 1986, the DLG Championship was won by the three-year-old Bolero daughter, Batumi.

CORDOBA - OUT OF BIANCA, DAM OF WOLKENGLANZ

Wolkenglanz's Dam, Bianca, also produced Celle stallion, Cordoba (Cavalier/Cardinal xx) sire of AHS Elite Stallion Cabalito and FEI dressage star Worley (World Cup). Cordoba placed fourth in his stallion performance test. Due to his outstanding dressage qualities, he became a member of the famous Celle Chesnut Quadrille as a 6-year old. He has been standing at Celle since 1993.

CORDOBA - A SUCCESSFUL SIRE

He is well known for passing on his characteristics of elegance and outstanding movement. Cordoba has 292 registered offspring including 23 States Premium mares, 57 approveed mares and 98 registered competition horses according to der Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste 2005 Stallion Yearbook.

Bianca, Wolkenglanz's dam and dam of Cordoba, is the daughter of the dominant sire Bolero. With World Cup I she produced the successful upper level dressage horse Worley. She is the full sister to the Westphalen stallion Beethoven. Sires in her maternal line make her pedigree almost predestined for dressage horses. Stallions of this line include Akzent I, Dezember, Frustra II and Ablanz/T.

Also well noted in the pedigree of Cordoba and his dam Bianca is the carefully thought out influence of the Thoroughbred sires, Bleep xx, Black Sky xx, Cardinal xx, and Nearco xx.
